Our Commitment to Your Child's Safety

At Immanuel OPC, we believe children are a precious gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). To ensure their safety and your peace of mind, we strictly enforce the following protection guidelines:

• Two-Volunteer Rule: There are always at least two assigned volunteers present in our children’s ministry (including at least one adult) to ensure children are never left unattended.

• Thorough Screening: Every volunteer and teacher is a communicant member of our church, has been interviewed by an elder, and has passed a national criminal background check.

• Open Doors & Camera Security: To keep our spaces transparent, Sunday school and nursery doors remain open or gated. Additionally, we have security cameras recording throughout the premises for continuous monitoring, except in the bathrooms. See “Bathroom Safety” below.

• Secure Check-In & Check-Out: We utilize a secure sign-in sheet or pager system for nursery-age children. Children are only released back to the parent or immediate family member who dropped them off.

• Allergy & Bathroom Safety: We obtain verbal consent before providing any snacks. Additionally, volunteers will not assist a child in the bathroom or change diapers unless they have received explicit written permission from a parent.
